Los críticos eligen las mejores películas e interpretaciones del año

La web Indiewire ha convocado a 177 críticos para que elijan lo mejor que nos ha dado el cine en este 2024. Los resultados de la encuesta han sido acordes a lo que estamos viendo en la temporada de premios: 'Anora' lidera Mejor Película y Mejor Guion, 'The Brutalist' es la primera en Mejor Dirección y Marianne Jean-Baptiste encabeza la lista de interpretaciones con su volcánico trabajo en 'Mi única familia'. En Mejor Película Internacional, la española 'Cerrar los ojos' alcanza el sexto puesto, situándose por delante de varias aspirantes al Oscar.

Las mejores películas del año según Indiewire

Indiewire ha comenzado a publicar sus listas de lo mejor de 2024 y una de las primeras en  ser desveladas ha sido su Top de películas. 'Nickel Boys', debut en la ficción del documentalista RaMell Ross (recientemente premiado tanto por los Gotham como por la Crítica de Nueva York) encabeza una lista que no está exenta de sorpresas ('Furiosa' en el 8, 'The Beast' en el 3) ni de cine español ('Cerrar los ojos' aparece en el puesto 19 por encima de, por ejemplo, 'The Brutalist').

La crítica elige las mejores películas e interpretaciones del año

Indiewire ha publicado su clásica encuesta en la que convoca a más de un centenar de críticos (exactamente, 165) para que elijan cuáles son sus películas e interpretaciones favoritas del año. Por si quedaba alguna duda tras su victoria en Nueva York y Los Ángeles, 'TÁR' ha sido elegida como la mejor película de 2022 según la crítica. La película de Todd Field encabeza además otros tres apartados: Mejor Dirección, Mejor Interpretación y Mejor Guion. El Top 3 lo completan 'Aftersun' y 'Almas en pena de Inisherin'.

Durante la última semana, Indiewire ha publicado una serie de artículos especiales que repasaban lo que dio de sí el cine de los años 90. La joya de la corona es el listado de las mejores películas de la década, que está encabezado por el último film dirigido por Stanley Kubrick: 'Eyes Wide Shut'. Además, la web ha pedido a varias personalidades del mundo del cine (Edgar Wright, Paul Schrader, Ari Aster, Joachim Trier...) que elaboren sus listas personales con sus películas favoritas de la última década del siglo XX. Los críticos eligen lo mejor de Venecia, Telluride, Toronto y Nueva York

La web Indiewire ha reunido a 137 críticos de todo el mundo para elegir lo mejor de los cuatro festivales que han dado el pistoletazo de salida a la temporada cinematográfica: Venecia, Telluride, Toronto y Nueva York. La película que mejor parada ha salido de la votación es 'El poder del perro' (precisamente el título que encabezaba nuestra lista de lo mejor de San Sebastián) seguida por la francesa 'Titane' y la noruega 'The Worst Person in the World' (que lidera dos apartados). La cinta dirigida por Jane Campion ha sido votada como la mejor película proyectada en Venecia, Toronto y Nueva York (compartido con 'The Worst Person in the World') mientras que 'C'mon C'mon' es el título más destacado del Festival de Telluride.
